Effect of Biofield Treatment on Growth and Physiology of Hydroponically-Grown Lettuce and Bok Choy Plants

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of biofield treatments on the growth and physiology of lettuce and bok choy plants. Energy art pieces and water treated by energy art were used as biofield treatments. Overall, both the lettuce and bok choy plants exposed to a combination of energy art and energy art-treated water were significantly larger in terms of leaf and root growth than those in the other treatments. Clear improvements in the vegetative growth of these plants were found, as seen in th… Show more

“…Combined Energy art + energy art treated water treatment showed the highest number of leaves (12.3 and 2), leaf dry (g) (1.9 and 2.5) leaf area(cm2) (606.6 and 699) and root dry mass (g) (0.4 and 0.5) against control and the individual treatments in lettuce and boy choy crop, respectively. The impact was found highest, especially in carotenoid and chlorophyll content also (Lee and Wu, 2019). Lettuce was grown in different cultivation methods, namely, aeroponic, hydroponic, and substrate cultivation.…”

“…Energy treatment includes magnetic, sound, heat, light and energy healing (Govindaraj, Masilamani, Alex Albert, & Bhaskaran, 2017). Among energy healing, various types namely Meditation (Pandey et al, 2015), Pranic Agriculture (Nagendra Prasad & Jois, 2019), and Biofield (Lee & Wu, 2019;Sances, Flora, Patil, Spence, & Shinde, 2013;Shinde, Sances, Patil, & Spence, 2012) has been proved to enhance seedling growth and yield.…”
