Effect of Aqueous and Alcoholic Bee Pollen Extracts on Monoamine Oxidase Activity

Abstract: Many researches have focused on the health and therapeutics properties and behaviour of phytochemical products, that including bee products. Bee pollen comprises on very large compounds such as flavonoids, phenolic acids and terpenoids, which have inhibiting effect on some enzymes. Monoamine oxidase (MAO) was an important metabolic enzyme. The aims of this study was to evaluation the effects of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of bee pollen on MAO and activities in human sera. The identification of extracts cons… Show more

“…Nanoparticles have shown promise as effective antimicrobial agents due to their unique size-dependent properties and high surface area. Therefore, the investigation of the antimicrobial properties of ZrO 2 NPs synthesized using eco-friendly methods is of particular significance [14][15][16]. The results of our study reveal potent antibacterial and antifungal activities of the green-synthesized ZrO 2 NPs.…”

“…Characterization of the synthesized ZrO 2 NPs is of paramount importance to assess their quality, structure, and chemical composition. In this study, a comprehensive set of analytical techniques, including UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), was employed to characterize the ZrO 2 NPs [14][15][16]. These techniques provide valuable insights into the physical and chemical properties of the nanoparticles, confirming the successful synthesis of crystalline ZrO 2 NPs with a narrow size distribution.…”
