Abstract: Despite ever-increasing improvements in the prognosis of sepsis, this condition remains a frequent cause of hospitalization and mortality in Western countries. Sepsis exposes the patient to multiple complications, including thrombotic complications, due to the ability of circulating bacteria to activate platelets.
