Effect of anisotropy of lighter and heavier ions on solitary waves in a multi-ion plasma

Abstract: We have studied the combined effect of the pressure anisotropies of lighter and heavier ions of opposite polarities on solitary waves in a plasma composed of these ions as well as kappa described electrons of solar and cometary origin. Using the theory of Chew, Goldberger, and Low (the CGL theory), the anisotropies of all three ions have been included in the derivation of the Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation. The effects of various combinations of pressure anisotropies of both lighter as well as heavier ions of opp… Show more

“…Furthermore, they draw the conclusion that the features of solitary waves are more significantly influenced by the parallel ion pressure component [10]. According to research by Manesh et al on the properties of solitary waves in an anisotropic plasma with lighter and heavier ions, the polarity of solitary waves is determined by the lighter ion's pressure anisotropy and is rarefactive for anisotropic lighter ions while compressive for isotropic lighter ions [11]. Adan et al depict that compressive and rarefactive solitons using the Z-K equation in an anisotropic plasma with nonthermal electrons.…”

“…[ 33 ] Effects of the pressure anisotropies of positive–negative ions on solitary waves were presented in a plasma with kappa distributed electrons in solar and cometary origin. [ 34 ] The collisionless interaction between negative and positive ion beams was numerically investigated. [ 35 ] Characteristics of small but finite amplitude DIAWs were presented by using the multi‐fluid model and the KdV equation in a dusty plasma which was composed of positive and negative inertial ions, inertialess electrons, as well as immobile negative/positive charged dust particles.…”

“…They noted that the parameters of collisional impacts are very effective in the damping processes in DIA soliton shapes [16]. On the other hand, the existing wave considerations in pairs of ion plasmas (PI) plays interesting and useful investigation for acoustic propagating waves in many astrophysics, laboratories and simulation studies [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]. The acoustic instability of two ion modulations is studied in plasma having two ions and electrons via the threshold wavenumber by elicitation of nonlinear-Schrödinger-equation.…”
