“…The recovery period of anesthesia refers to the period when the patient stops giving narcotic drugs and waits for the recovery of consciousness of the patient, that is, after stopping narcotic drugs, the patient begins to have pain reaction, become conscious, and recover stable vital signs [ 3 ]. During the recovery period of general anesthesia, patients are prone to a series of complications, such as respiratory obstruction, hypoxemia, hypotension, nausea and vomiting, and even ventricular arrest [ 4 ]. Therefore, after general anesthesia, the patients need to be closely observed and tested in the postanesthetic care unit (PACU), and the patients cannot be escorted back to the ward until their vital signs are stable, and their consciousness is clear, and their muscle strength is restored.…”

“…In a recent study by Mortazavi et al (41), in a crosssectional descriptive study in 350 patients under either SPA or GA for abdominal hysterectomy showed that the recovery quality in GA was lower in comparison with SPA. Carli et al (42), indicate that in patients underwent abdominal hysterectomy who received SPA combined with sedation considered quality of post-operative recovery better than the patients who received EDA combined with GA. The results of these two studies confirm the results of the present study.…”

“…Outras desvantagens incluem o tempo de recuperação pós-operatória, potenciais mudanças na estrutura do corpo e possíveis impactos emocionais. É fundamental discutir cuidadosamente com o médico sobre os riscos e benefícios individuais, considerando também alternativas de tratamento antes de optar pela histerectomia 1,5 .…”
