Abstract:Dose-effect curves for amphetamine on key-pecking behavior of pigeons maintained by two-component multiple schedules of shock postponement were determined. During the first experimental phase the response-shock interval (RS) was held constant and the shock-shock interval (SS) varied. Under these conditions, shock rate was greater during the component with the shorter SS. However, response rates were comparable in both components. Also, the magnitude of the response rate increments caused by appropriate doses o… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
