Abstract:From the available literature it appears that the protein requirements of cats are high by comparison with those of other species. Dickinson & Scott (19563) found that satisfactory growth of kittens could not be maintained if the protein content of the diet on the dry-weight basis was below 30 yo, and Greaves (1959) found 32 o/ o protein necessary for growth.
