Effect and Safety Analysis of PRP and Yifu Combined with Ultrapulsed CO2 Lattice Laser in Patients with Sunken Acne Scar

Abstract: Objective. To investigate the effect and safety of PRP and Yifu combined with ultrapulsed CO2 lattice laser in patients with sunken acne scar. Methods. 700 subjects were selected from the group of patients with sunken acne scar treated in our hospital from November 2010 to December 2020. They were divided into control group (n = 350) and study group (n = 350). The grouping was mainly based on the random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with ultrapulse CO2 lattice laser, while tho… Show more

“…Some 14 interventions were involved in the 18 included studies ( 1 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12 , 14 , 15 , 17 , 18 , 26 , 32 , 38 , 40 , 43 , 49 , 50 , 56 , 61 ), among which 6 were combined therapies [1064Nd + 15%VC, Er + RF, 30%SC + FCL, FCL + PRP, FCL + HA, FCL + SC-CM (stem cell-conditioned medium)] and 8 were monotherapies (1064Nd, Er, FCL, MTS, ASC, RF, 1927FTL, PDL). The network demonstrated the direct or indirect relationship between the 14 interventions.…”

“…A total of 13 studies ( 10 , 12 , 24 , 33 , 41 - 44 , 46 , 48 , 50 , 52 , 56 ) reported a cure rate. A total of 12 types of interventions were included, of which 7 were combined therapy (CO 2 gas + PRP, FCL + CO 2 gas, Er + FCL, FCL + 30%SC, FCL + PRP, FCL + yifu, Er + PRP) and 5 were monotherapies (FCL, RF, MTS, PRP, ER).…”

“…PRP works better when combined with laser or microneedling to treat scarring. Wang et al 39 has found that PRP combined with ultra‐pulsed CO 2 laser could effectively improve acne‐depressed scars and reduce the occurrence of adverse events. Abdel‐Maguid et al 40 showed that PRP enhanced the efficacy of FCL with increased production of dermal collagen and dermal type I collagen following its injection.…”

“…Although favourable outcomes have been achieved, the treatment process is not without challenges; for example, with prolonged drug use, adverse reactions may occur and affect the therapeutic results. In recent years, better outcomes have been achieved in the treatment of depressed keloid scars by means of an ultra‐pulsed carbon dioxide fractional laser 13,14 . An ultrapulse carbon dioxide dot matrix laser can induce fractional photothermolysis in the treatment area, vaporise the scar tissue, and stimulate neogenesis and rearrangement of subcutaneous collagen fibres, thus promoting a healing response in the dermal traumatic tissue and improving local symptoms 15 .…”
