A salinidade constitui-se um dos principais problemas que afetam a produtividade das culturas em regiões áridas e semiáridas. Diante disso, objetivou-se com o presente estudo, avaliar os efeitos da salinidade da água de irrigação e de dois substratos na emergência do maracujazeiro-amarelo. O experimento foi conduzido em condições de laboratório e campo na região de Sobral-CE. Adotou-se o delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados, em esquema de análise fatorial 5 x 2, referente aos efeitos da salinidade da água de irrigação (0,27; 1,5; 2,5; 3,5; 4,5 dS m -1 ) em dois substratos: esterco bovino + areia (S 1 ) e somente esterco bovino (S 2 ) com quatro repetições, totalizando 40 parcelas experimentais. As variáveis analisadas foram: primeira contagem, percentagem de emergência, índice de velocidade de emergência e tempo médio de emergência. De posse dos resultados, verificou-se que a emergência das sementes de maracujazeiro-amarelo não foi influenciada pelos substratos avaliados. As sementes de maracujazeiro-amarelo toleraram os sais apenas até 1,5 dS m -1 .

EMERGENCY OF YELLOW PASSION FRUIT UNDER SALT STRESS ON DIFFERENT SUBSTRATESABSTRACT Salinity is become one of the main problems affecting crop productivity in arid and semi-arid regions. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of irrigation water salinity and two substrates in the emergence of yellow passion fruit. The experiment was conducted in laboratory and field conditions in the Sobral-CE region. The experimental design was adopted in randomized blocks in factorial analysis scheme 5 x 2, referring to the effects of irrigation water salinity (0.27, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 dS m -1 ) in two substrates: manure + sand (S 1 ) and only cattle manure (S 2 ) with four replications, totaling 40 experimental plots. The variables analyzed were: first count, emergence percentage, emergence speed index and average time of emergency. With the results, it was found that the emergence of yellow passion fruit seeds was not influenced by the evaluated substrates. The seeds of yellow passion fruit tolerated salts only up to 1.5 dS m -1 .
