Abstract: Se estima que en el futuro la producción mundial de cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) será insuficiente para su demanda, debido a factores como: pérdida por plagas y enfermedades, árboles envejecidos, rendimientos limitados y efectos del cambio climático.
