Efecto del análogo de L-carnitina, la b-hidroxifosfocarnitina sobre el metabolismo de Nocardia brasiliensis

Abstract: Objectives: To determine whether β-HFC, in addition to its immunomodulatory effect as a therapeutic alternative in the combat of the mycetoma has an effect on the biochemical activity of N. brasiliensis. Methodology: determination of bacterial growth using N. brasilensis in the presence of β-HFC and biochemical analysis of its metabolism. Contribution: The immunomodulatory function of β-HFC in the treatment of chronic infections has recently been studied but it is not known whether it also has any antimicrobia… Show more

“…Therefore, the stronger signal of β-HPC equalized the hydrolysis of such compounds at 1650 to 1400 cm −1 , but perhaps the phosvitin catabolism that has a remarkable resistance to hydrolysis, thanks to the β-HPC the amide II stretching vibration increased, as well as the heavier phosphate signals 10.3389/fmicb.2023.1089156 at 1071 and 520 cm −1 , also a signal of increased hydrolysis (Huang et al, 2019;Zhao et al, 2021;Figure 5, 6D). N. brasiliensis + β-HPC consumed proteins, lipids and carotenes, as witnessed by the colorless supernatant after growth, compared to N. brasiliensis, which maintained a yellowish hydrolyzate (data not shown) (Martínez-Robles et al, 2019). In this particular substrate, statistical summaries placed N. brasiliensis at 187 µL and N. brasiliensis + β-HPC at 93.75 µL instead of PCA.…”
