Educational Efficiency and Students’ Involvement of Teaching Approach Based on Game-Based Student Response System

Abstract: Modern approaches in Physics classes which involve the game-based student response system (GSRS) have been in use for a while, but their educational efficiency and students’ involvement have not been examined. Therefore, this research’s main aim was to determine the educational efficiency and students’ involvement of GSRS and to assess their effect on scientific reasoning. The values of educational efficiency and students’ involvement were calculated based on students’ achievement and perceived mental effort. … Show more

“…Therefore, during explaining a phenomenon or concluding about hierarchical or causal relations, words-concepts are used in the function of formal abstraction, i.e., spatial verbalization of what is already given as such in representations or perceptions or its practical experience [13]. When the complexity of the development of the concept is viewed through the prism of natural sciences, then the researchers are interested in presenting the studied phenomena related to certain concepts in the most transparent possible way, using various teaching approaches [14][15][16][17]. The need to achieve greater scientific literacy is highlighted in 21st-century skills [6].…”

“…Future research in the area of integration in different teaching subjects, and take into account cognitive load, i.e., mental effort as indicator of the efficiency of the teaching approach (Radulović and Stojanović, 2019;Radulović, 2021;Županec et al, 2018). It is expected that this will encourage teachers to cooperate and thus effectively integrate similar teaching contents from different subjects.…”
