Editorial: Special Issue on Interdisciplinary and Experiential Entrepreneurship Education

Abstract: A group of six colleges and universities (East Carolina University, Iona College, John Carroll University, Millikin University, Rowan University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute) partnered up to co-host the January 2020 USASBE Conference in New Orleans, LA, with the theme Interdisciplinary & Experiential Entrepreneurship Education. “…EE&P as a journal seeks to be inclusive and to span discipline boundaries (Liguori et al., 2018). EE&P’s recent special issues on engineering education (Huang-Saad et al., 2020) and interdisciplinary entrepreneurship education (Winkler et al., 2021) respectively have highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship education for non-business students to develop their entrepreneurial mindset and expand their skills beyond their discipline. In that same logic, this research wants to build on that foundation and extend the importance of skill development beyond research and development for all STEAM disciplines.…”

“…Despite this limitation, they noted the real promise of entrepreneurship as a field of research. Since then, the number of scholars exploring entrepreneurship, from a diverse array of geographies (Kiggundu, 2002; Ogundana et al , 2021; Gomes et al , 2022; Pérez-Nordvedt and Fallatah, 2022), disciplines (Henry, 2021; Neumeyer et al , 2019a; Winkler et al , 2021) and perspectives (Bandera et al , 2021; Williamson et al , 2022; Souakri et al , 2022), has drastically risen.
