Editorial: International perspectives on public policy

Abstract

For a number of years, Policy and Politics has been concerned to avoid being a policy studies journal which is based solely on British contributors writing to a British audience about British public policy issues. There has been a gradual growth of British authors reflecting on policy developments in other countries and of submissions by authors from outside Britain. In October 1989, Policy and Politics ran a special issue on European Law and British equal opportunity policies. In addition, the subscription profile of the journal is increasingly international with nearly 50% of subscribers coming from outside Britain.
