A final limitation is that data on oncologic outcomes and survival were not available, so the ultimate impact of the observed disparity in PSA testing is unknown. CONCLUSIONThis study characterized rates of prostate cancer screening for U.S. immigrants. We hope that in describing the inequity in screening faced by immigrants, this paper will help to promote additional hypothesis-driven inquiry that will identify mechanisms to promote guideline-concordant urological care for immigrants.
