Abstract:SummaryA 3‐year‐old boy with rectal bleeding and colicky abdominal pain is described in whom heterotopic gastric mucosa in the rectum was found. Increased uptake of 99mTc‐pertechnetate was demonstrated in two sites: rectum and left colon. However, gastric mucosa could be identified by endoscopic and histologic examination in the rectum only. The patient was asymptomatic after the operation and during follow‐up, over 14 months.
