“…Vizcachas belong to the Caviomorpha infraorder, which groups the South American Hystrichognathi such as chinchillas, guinea pigs, wild cavies, capybaras, and pacaranas. Various hystrichognathi, either wild or in captivity, have been reported as reservoir hosts of endo and ectoparasites ( Dittmar, 2002 ; de la Cruz et al, 2003 ; Gressler et al, 2010 ; Regolin et al, 2015 ; Jones and Garcia, 2019 ).
