[2][3][4][5][6] It usually presents as a well-circumscribed nodule on the dorsal surface of the tongue and has a characteristic histology of abundant chondromyxoid stroma and lobular proliferation of oval, fusiform to polygonal tumor cells. Although the tumor histology is typical, the cytologic appearance can be mistaken for that of other myxoid lesions in this location, especially salivary gland lesions.…”
