Ensuring food security is one of the key areas in the management of economic security. Today, Russia's food security is sufficiently strengthened. However, a reasonable question arises about the promising directions of its development. The article explores the possibility of using digital platforms to improve the efficiency of national food security management. It is established that currently many countries of the world are betting on increasing the level of self-sufficiency in food as a fundamental condition for ensuring national food security. At the same time, the importance of criteria such as food quality and compliance of the domestic food market with the requirements of healthy nutrition is rapidly increasing. Using the example of the dairy market, it is shown that the Russian food market is quite stable and is characterized by the predominance of domestic production over imports in resources. There is an increase in exports. At the same time, there are no signs of active import substitution, the growth of domestic consumption lags behind the growth of production. To solve the current problems of food security, it is proposed to implement digital platforms in the agro-industrial complex at the stages of production of agricultural raw materials, its processing, consumption control and implementation of social policy to support the nutrition of socially vulnerable segments of the population. The use of digital platforms is aimed at improving the efficiency of national food security management.

Food security is the most important area of national security. The market economy has led to the formation of new categories of agricultural producers. Country farms and personal subsidiary farms belong to the group of small farms. Modern approaches to determining the state of food security are discussed in the article. Indicators for assessing the role of small farms in food security are given. The method of calculating indicators is based on the provisions of the Food Security Doctrine and modern scientific concepts. Food independence analysis conducted. Indicators of independence from external supplies are defined for 2000-2017. The level of satisfaction of needs due to production in small farms is calculated. The growing role of peasant farms is determined in the food self-sufficiency of Russia. The direction of development of small farms investigated. Government support measures identified. The organizational and economic conditions for the development of small farms are presented.

The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between the state of economic security of the region and the signs of its sustainable development and to justify the use of criteria for sustainable development of the region in the activities to ensure its economic security. The subject of the research is a problems of ensuring economic security of the region in the context of the current strategic objectives of socio-economic development and the actions of public authorities of the regions to ensure economic security through the provision of socio-economic development of a sustainable nature. In accordance with the hypothesis, there is a deep connection between the economic security of the region and its sustainable socio-economic development, due to the fact that the stability of the dynamics of socio-economic development indicators can characterize the socio-economic system of the region as able to withstand the pressure of security threats and the manifestation of the risks of socio-economic development. Based on statistical methods, a correlation model between economic development and sustainable development has been developed to identify their interrelations based on non-financial reporting data.
