Economic impact of postoperative pancreatic fistula in pancreatic surgery.

Abstract: Background: Postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) is the most important complication after pancreatic surgery and is associated with major morbidity, increased use of resources, and prolonged hospital stay.
