Economic Development and Access to Fish Resources: A Review Sociology on Fisherman’s Production Access in Kuala Langsa, Aceh

Abstract: Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to describe the practice of inequality in access to fish resources that occurred in Kuala Langsa. In sociology, ownership of the means of production have strong linkages with economic productivity. “…More than 50 percent of the community fishing are not yet prosperous or in other words, they live under the poverty line (Republika, 2019). The mapping results of previous research showed that the fishing community is still embroiled in a structural poverty chains (Nirzalin et al, 2018;Retnowati, 2011;Tan et al, 2021;Yunita et al, 2018).
