This study investigates the impact of environmental factors on human health, including harmful substances, extreme temperatures, and air quality. The health status of the population in regions where many industries operate also depends on meteorological factors. The purpose of the study is to characterize and determine the influence of environmental factors (humidity, temperature, wind) and industries, including metal mining and processing regions, on the health of people in the Aktobe region, Republic of Kazakhstan. The study used general theoretical methods to analyze and systematize the results of the meteorological service of the Aktobe region and the experiments conducted by the branch of the National Centre of Expertise of the Committee of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Aktobe region in 2020 and 2021. Statistical data on the amount of chromium, lead, and nickel in the blood, and the morbidity rate of the population were analyzed. The study's findings indicate that residents in the Aktobe region experience hypothermia during winter at temperatures between −12 °C and −15 °C and humidity of 81%, and in summer overheating occurs at temperatures between +19.6 °C and +22.5 °C with humidity of 77%. These extreme temperature conditions disrupt the body's heat exchange with the environment, affecting the respiratory and circulatory systems. Moreover, the predominantly windless conditions in the region affect the atmosphere's self‐cleaning ability, resulting in high levels of air pollution throughout the year. This article analyzes the content of the chemical composition of groundwater and wastewater of the Tengiz deposit located in the Zhyloy district of Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This analysis is necessary to determine the deposition of inorganic salts in oilfield equipment. The analysis shows that the content of chloride anions and magnesium cations prevails in groundwater and wastewater. Thus, the content of chloride anions exceeds the content of other anions up to 2-3 times of sulfate anions in groundwater and wastewater and up to 2.5-5 times of bicarbonate anions in groundwater and 17-27 times in wastewater. Among the cations, the maximum values are characteristic of magnesium cations, whose content exceeds the calcium content by more than 3.5 times in wastewater and more than 6.5 times in groundwater. In addition, the magnesium content exceeds more than 5 times the content of the sum of sodium and potassium ions. Thus, according to the results of the study, it was determined that the main salts affecting the oilfield equipment at the Tengiz field are magnesium chloride salts.

The production of fossil fuels is associated with a significant burden on the environment. However, comparing the production of oil and gas with the extraction of other types of minerals, it can be seen that with significantly larger production volumes, the environmental impact is lower here. The purpose of the research is to study the impact of oil and gas production in Russia on the environment in comparison with the industry average situation. To do this, the following tasks are expected to be performed: - identifying the dynamics of the production of fuel resources in Russia in 2017-2020; - determination of indicators of environmental pollution and their comparison with industry averages; - calculation of current costs and investments in fixed assets for environmental protection. In this, first of all, a significant role is played by the features of the mining object, the technologies used and the need to maintain the status of an environmentally friendly industry due to the high share of exports. The main source of pollution is air emissions (hydrocarbons (including volatile organic compounds) - 44.6%, carbon monoxide - 36.3%, solids, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides). Awareness of this problem is also manifested in the structure of investments in environmental protection. Their share in the protection of atmospheric air does not fall below 59% of the total amount of environmental investments.
