Biodiversitas 22: 3199-3208. The Tidung tribe is one of the original inhabitants of North Kalimantan, Indonesia. Research results related to the Tidung tribe, especially those related to ethnobotany, are still rare. This research aimed to make an inventory of plant species used by Tidung Tribe based on the five dimensions of basic life needs of Tidung Tribe. The five dimensions of basic life needs of Tidung Tribe is that plants are useful as food (ngakan), shelter (baloy), health/medicine (sihat), traditional ceremony (adat), and clothing (memana). Informants were obtained by conducting snowball sampling consisting of 22 family heads and as many as 65 people. There were three instruments in the data collection: questionnaires of list of plant species, quantitative plant assessment instruments, and semi-structured interviews. According to the inventory result, Tidung Tribe utilize 60 plant species in their daily life. Most of these plants are used as food (ngakan) and traditional medicine (sihat). The Availability Index and Frequency Use Index data showed that Arecaceae, Pandanaceae, Solanaceae, Zingiberaceae, and Poaceae families were the most widely available plants in the research location and most often used by the community.

Contextual learning practices utilizing local wisdom, such as subak in social studies in junior high schools, have yet to be widely applied. This study aims to explore the relevance of local wisdom values of subak with the theme of social studies material in the independent curriculum, and knowing the attitude of teachers towards the use of subak as a social studies learning resource in junior high schools. The research subjects were social studies teachers who were determined by the Slovin formula and proportional random sampling with the lottery technique, and two pekaseh were purposively identified as key informants. Data were collected by means of a literature study and a Likert scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptive comparative interpretative technique. The results of the study show that the local wisdom of subak is very relevant as a source of learning on all social studies material themes for grades VII and VIII. In cgrade VII the most relevant is the Diversity of the Surrounding Environment theme and the Community Empowerment theme. In grade VII the most relevant theme is the plurality of Indonesian society. The teacher's attitude towards subak as a source of learning is relatively the same between rural and urban areas, which is in the positive category. Teachers find it difficult to get material about subak. The implication of the results of this study is the importance of providing access to Subak local wisdom materials to teachers to increase their positive attitudes and behavior in utilizing Subak as a social studies learning resource in schools.

Subak local wisdom is the Balinese agricultural culture that has been declared by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage. Subak which is based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana has social, religious and ecological values and serves as the basis for a harmonious community life. This study aims to determine: (1) the level of knowledge and understanding of social studies teachers about subak, and (2) social studies teachers' attitude towards the idea about developing social studies learning models based on subak local wisdom. The study sample consisted of social studies teachers who were determined by purposive sampling. The research instruments were a semi-structured test and attitude questionnaire based on the Likert scale. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that: (1) the majority of the teachers had a low level of knowledge and understanding about subak (47.50%); the remaining 32.50% are classified as moderate and only 20% are classified as high. (2) The majority of the teachers (77.50%) stated that they never used subak as a social study learning resource. (3) The teacher's attitude towards the idea of developing the social studies learning model based on subak local wisdom was very positive, where 97.50% expressed a strong agreement. The implication of the research is that further research needs to be done with a focus on developing social studies learning models based on the local wisdom of subak.
