Ecological Component in Cities’ Ratings

Abstract: The basic tools for assessing urban areas are indexes and city ratings. As a rule, indexes include a set of criteria reflecting specific features of the analyzed territories. An increasingly important component of such ratings is the environmental one, showing the environmental quality of cities, the level and quality of their landscaping, and waste management issues. The article presents the results of the most famous ratings in which Novosibirsk is represented.
