The EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of Pochazia shantungensis (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Ricaniidae) for the EU following commodity risk assessments of Malus domestica, Prunus persica, P. dulcis and Robinia pseudoacacia plants for planting from T € urkiye in which P. shantungensis was identified as a pest that could potentially enter the EU. The native range of P. shantungensis is China (Shaanxi, Shandong and Zhejiang provinces), but around 2010, the species entered the Republic of Korea and rapidly spread. Small and localised populations were also recently found in T € urkiye (Marmara) and southern Russia (Krasnodyarskiy kray). Within the EU, a few individuals have been recorded in Italy (Pistoia province, Tuscany), in one locality in southern France (Alpes-Maritimes), in the Netherlands (Western Netherlands) and in one garden in Germany (Baden-W € urttemberg) where it was eradicated. P. shantungensis is not listed in Annex II of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072. It is polyphagous, feeding on plants belonging to more than 200 species including many crop and ornamental plants. Economically important hosts in the EU include apple (M. domestica), citrus (Citrus spp.), walnut (Castanea sp.) and ornamentals such as hibiscus (Hibiscus spp.) and camellia (Camellia japonica), as well as forest trees, mostly deciduous. In the Republic of Korea, the species has one generation per year. It overwinters as eggs and goes through five nymphal instars. Its impact is due to oviposition obstructing the vascular system of its hosts, depletion of the host resources and egestion of honeydew promoting the development of sooty moulds. Plants for planting constitute the main pathway for entry into the EU and for spread. Climatic conditions in southern EU countries and host plant availability in those areas would allow establishment and spread. The introduction of P. shantungensis is expected to have an economic impact in the EU through the reduction in yield, quality and commercial value of fruits and ornamental plants. Phytosanitary measures are available to reduce the likelihood of entry and further spread. P. shantungensis meets the criteria that are within the remit of EFSA to assess for it to be regarded as a potential Union quarantine pest.

More and more designers and companies in the packaging industry begin to pay attention to research on environmentally friendly packaging design. From studying the additional functions of packaging to starting to study the environmentally friendly materials of packaging, as well as the “zero-pollution” packaging advocated today, the traditional form and mode of packaging has changed. This article aims to study the design of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials and discuss its performance. In this paper, the platform construction method and the modulus definition classification method are used to calculate the positive axis stiffness of the single-layer board. The effect of coating process on the wear resistance of paper-based materials was studied, the wear resistance of box board base paper and coated box board under different temperatures and different humidity conditions was compared, and the optimal design variable value range was set. The experimental results show that after the first level of optimization, the overall mass of the structure is reduced from the initial 39.42 kg to 31.18 kg and the optimization efficiency is 20.90%; the maximum relative deformation of the flap structure has increased from 0.143 mm to 0.198 mm, despite having the maximum tension. The opening displacement has increased, but it still meets the sealing deformation requirements. The design and performance discussion of the overall packaging box of environmentally friendly packaging materials have been completed relatively well.

In order to effectively control the Ricania shanthungensis, we investigated the light response to adults and developed an adult catching device using light with superior attractiveness. The preference among six light sources such as daylight color, green, etc. for the Ricania shanthungensis adult was most favored with daylight color 97 > Black 79 = Red 79 = Blue 79 > Green 24 > Yellow 13. We have developed an adult catching device using the most preferred daylight colors and behavioral habits of the Ricania shanthungensis.The capture device consisted of two daylight compact lamps (30W, 20W), a yellow plate, and a catcher using water, and caught about 700 individuals a day. The capturing device has a large amount of capturing because adult is activity at high nighttime temperatures, but the capturing amount decreased significantly when the temperature dropped below 23 ℃. More than 85% of the Ricania shanthungensis adults were trapped for 3 hours from 19:00 to 23:00. Therefore, it is considered that the adult capturing device for the control of Ricania shanthungensis is used from middle July to late August when the night temperature is over 23 ℃ and lights up from 19:00 to 23:00.
