Nonetheless, in the most recent edition of Sourcebook of Family Theory and Research , McAdoo, Martinez, and Hughes (2005) purported that researchers have yet to develop and use such frameworks, which has resulted in incomplete and, at worst, inaccurate depictions of families of color or ethnic‐minority status.
