Ecologia de comunidades das larvas de Trichoptera Kirby (Insecta) em dois córregos de primeira ordem da Serra dos Pireneus, Pirenópolis, Goiás, Brasil

Abstract: ABSTRACT. Community ecology of Trichoptera Kirby (Insecta) larvae in two first-order streams ofSerra dos Pireneus, Pirenópolis, Goiás, Brazil. The Trichoptera fa una in two first-order streams of Serra dos Pireneus, Goiás State, was studied from June/l993 to July/l994. The Trichoptera larvae abundances were lower in the rainy season in the two streams. The temporal distributions of the functiona l groups (feeding categories) was similar in both streams. The ordination by Detrended Correspondence Analysis (DCA)… Show more

“…For rare genera, the scale of land use was more representative (b 4 rare genera 37.5% p < 0.05) (Fig. However, in other studies conducted in the Cerrado it has not been possible to demonstrate the influence of the physical and chemical characteristics (e.g., conductivity) of water in predicting the composition of the Trichoptera community (Bispo and Oliveira, 1998;Oliveira and Bispo, 2001). This indicates that the environmental differences between land use patterns affect the rare genera more than the common genera.…”

“…(Tables 1 and 2). Oliveira et al (1999), Oliveira & Bispo (2001) and Bispo et al (2004) recorded other six genera in Rio das Almas Basin (Atopsyche Banks, Hydroptila Dalman, Atanatolica Mosely, Setodes Rambur, Polycentropus Curtis and Xiphocentron Brauer), that were not resampled during field work, but were considered in the totals for the region. Thus, the actual knowledge about caddisflies is 37 genera (12 families) in Goiás State, Brazil.…”

“…Recent contributions to the knowledge about the Trichoptera diversity reflected an increase in genera recorded in Goiás from five ) to 33 genera (six new records in Oliveira et al (1999), 11 in Oliveira & Bispo (2001), two in Bispo et al (2004), two in Shuvartz et al (2005), six in MartinsSilva et al (2008) and one in Calor (2008a)). However, as pointed by Oliveira & Froehlich (1997), the ecological and taxonomic knowledge about the Trichoptera in Brazilian Savanna Streams is still incipient.…”

“…Os fragmentadores ocorreram em baixa frequência no riacho Saltinho, sendo os tricópteros considerados como fragmentadores verdadeiros (oliveira & Bispo, 2001;Gonsales et al, 2002;pes, 2002). Triplectides (Trichoptera, Leptoceridae) ocorreu com maior abundância entre os demais fragmentadores, seguido de Polypedillum (Chironomidae).…”
