Earthquake Damage and Loss Evaluation for California

Abstract: Consensus-opinion earthquake damage and loss estimates and companion loss estimation and inventory methdology have been developed for existing facilities in California. These data and methodology are needed to provide input into computer simulation methodologies developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that estimate the economic impacts of real or hypothetical California earthquakes on the state, region, and nation.
