Postpartum hemorrhage is a complication during the puerperium that requires serious management, because it risks on threatening the mother's death. Currently, postpartum hemorrhage is still the main cause of maternal morbidity and mortality in the world. There is a need for a fast, precise and comprehensive handling effort involving all elements, such as the entire health team including doctors-nurses and families. The form of nursing intervention in postpartum hemorrhage patients can be in the form of nursing treatment or collaboration. The purpose of this review literature is to identify nursing treatment and nursing collaboration in postpartum hemorrhage patients as an effort to prevent maternal death. The writing method uses literature reviews by summarizing 10 articles publicated in 2019, 2020 and 2021 in 4 search data bases including Sciencedirect, Scopus, Proquest and Thompson. The review guidelines used are based on Prisma and the Joanna Briggs Institutute. The level of eligibility is identified through the title, abstract, research methodology and full text. The results of the reviews found are presented in a narrative form. The results of the review study found that there were 10 articles on postpartum hemorrhage management measures both in the effort of snoring treatment and collaboration including: optimizing the competence of service providers based on E_Learning , foot reflexology since the 4th stage of labor, 800 mcg sublingual Misoprostol, the use of the Digital Postpartum Hemorrhage Management Device ( DPHMD), bilateral-contralateral cervical clamps, suction tube uterine tampons, bilateral hypogastric artery (BHAL), evaluation of Shock Index, Carbetocin drugs and administration of Tranexamic acid 1 gram IV within 10 minutes of vaginal delivery. The conclusion of this review literature is that nursing treatment and nursing collaboration are proven to have a positive impact as an effort to prevent death in postpartum hemorrhage patients.

AimTo map the commonly used quantitative blood loss measurement methods in clinical practice and provide a solid foundation for future studies.Design and MethodThis study adhered to the JBI methodology for scoping reviews and preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta‐analyses extension for scoping reviews. We conducted a literature search using five databases to retrieve articles published between January 2012 and September 2022. The search was repeated on 29 February 2024. Data extraction and verification were carried out by two independent researchers using a self‐designed data extraction form.ResultsUltimately, 26 studies published between 2012 and 2024 were considered eligible for inclusion. Six categories of methods were identified from the 26 articles. Among the included studies, only two involved randomized controlled trials, with the majority being observational studies. The World Health Organization (2012) version of the postpartum haemorrhage diagnostic criteria was predominantly used in most studies. Gravimetric and volumetric methods emerged as the most commonly used methods for quantifying postpartum haemorrhages. The timing of blood collection was inconsistent among the included studies. Only 12 studies mentioned measures for the management of amniotic fluid.ConclusionsThis scoping review supports the replacement of the visual estimation of blood loss with quantitative assessment methods. Supporting a specific assessment approach is not feasible due to the variability of the study. Future research should focus on establishing the best practices for specific quantitative methods to standardize the management of postpartum haemorrhage and reduce the incidence of postpartum haemorrhage‐related adverse outcomes.Relevance to Clinical PracticeHealthcare professionals need to acknowledge the low accuracy of visual estimation methods and implement quantitative methods to assess postpartum blood loss. Given the limitations inherent in each assessment method, quantification of blood loss should be combined with assessment of maternal vital signs, physiologic indicators and other factors.

Obstetric hemorrhages (OH) are the main preventable cause of morbidity, mortality and cases of "near miss" among obstetric complications worldwide. Early preventive measures based on the OH prediction allow to profoundly reduce the rate of female mortality and morbidity as well as prevent the economic costs of patient intensive care, blood transfusion, surgical treatment and long-term hospitalization. Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is the most frequent obstetric haemorrhage determined by one of the four causes: a uterine tonus disorder, maternal birth trauma, retention of placenta parts and blood-clotting disorder. There is still a need for the continued search for an accurate and reliable prediction method despite multiple attempts to develop an effective system for predicting OH. The solution to this may be reasonably considered an innovative method such as artificial intelligence (AI) including computer technologies capable of obtaining conclusions similar to human thinking. One of the particular AI variants is presented by machine learning (ML), which develops accurate predictive models using computer analysis. Machine learning is based on computer algorithms, the most common among them in medicine are the decision tree (DT), naive Bayes classifier (NBC), random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), artificial neural network (ANNs), deep neural network (DNN) or deep learning (DL) and convolutional neural network (CNN). Here, we review the main stages of ML, the principles of algorithms action, and the prospects for using AI to predict OH in real-life clinical practice.
