Abstract:Symptom-limited exercise stress testing the day after coronary stenting does not increase the risk of clinical stent thrombosis or access site complications. Further investigations on safety of early vigorous exercise after coronary stenting in a non-supervised setting are warranted.
“…One year after PCI the specific weight of restenosis was 16.7% of all diagnosed restenosis. The clinical value of exercise electrocardiograms following interventional therapy in the early period is high in evaluation of early post-interventional results (Roffi et al, 2003). This is supported with our results, which demonstrated high specificity of exercise test performed in the first six months after PCI.…”

“…RCTs of early exercise testing after PCI have excluded patients with recent MI. 584 Limited data exist on the safety of early symptom-limited exercise testing after MI; therefore, clinical judgment must be used. 585 Pharmacological stress myocardial perfusion imaging has been shown to have predictive value for postinfarction cardiac events and is useful and safe in patients who are unable to exercise.…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
