Early elevated serum gamma glutamyl transpeptidase after liver transplantation is associated with better survival

Abstract: Background: Gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) is a membrane bound enzyme that plays a key role in the synthesis of the antioxidant glutathione.
