Across most of northern Alaska, the (younger) pre-Mississippian unconformity is overlain by a thin sequence of mainly fluvial conglomerate and sandstone, which is called the Kekiktuk Conglomerate (e.g., Brosge et al, 1962;LePain et al, 1994).
