Faculty Development, in the last decades, has undergone many transformations and many scholars are now wondering what will be the main feature that will characterize the next age, an age distinguished, in the academic world, by the changes that the just experienced pandemic brought with it. One of the main changes that this pandemic has brought with itself is the increase in digitalization within academic institutions and, consequently, the increase in the number of faculty development proposals that are conveyed through online initiatives. However, this is a consideration that can be read not only as a stand-alone element but also, if properly contextualized, it could be used as a way to promote Faculty Development programs that exploit the potential offered by digitalization in order to create initiatives which are linked in a mutually reinforcing bond. This choice is consistent with the adherence to a holistic approach to Faculty Development that promotes a systemic and multifocal logic. This paper presents a study conducted at the University of Verona in order to discover if the Faculty Development programs here implemented applying this approach were been able to promote a reciprocal mirroring between them. In order to answer this question, it was considered useful to investigate the results of a survey carried out on the “Competenze Trasversali” program, in its first edition, and thus still in an “experimental” phase. In order to collect the data has been used a simplified version of SWOT Analysis was used and the answers to the open questions were analyzed using the content analysis.

Students from economically disadvantaged nations (EDN) face significant challenges in accessing high-quality education and securing global internships due to inadequate resources, funding, and infrastructure. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the potential of online platforms for providing accessible, remote education and internship opportunities, aligning with UNESCO's sustainability education objectives. Using the SWOT analysis tool within the context of the experiential learning-driven integrated reflective cycle model (IRC), the research compares onsite and online internship types in higher education to identify areas where interventions can be applied to enhance the online internship experience. The study analyzed 42 interns, both on-site (OSIs) and online (ONIs), to evaluate the constructs of 'experience,' 'action,' 'preparation,' and 'theory”. The findings suggest that OSIs have weaknesses such as poor goal planning, a lack of awareness of relevance, and low communication confidence, while ONIs include a lack of exposure to teamwork and in-person experiences.

Education is one of the most important tools available to policymakers and non-governmental bodies to promote a change in the behavior of society and to address the climate crisis, in line with the 4th and 13th Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Project-based learning (PBL) addresses real and global challenges and allows the academic and professional formation of students. As part of the reflection stage of the educational action research method using the Business Canvas Model (BMC), pedagogic deficiencies were identified in the PBL and a didactic proposal was elaborated to emulate the interaction of students with the ecosystems of society. A prototype for improving the management of organic manures as soil amendments was initially developed, to provide the students with a quick start on the first steps of the proposed project. In the 10 sessions designed for the PBL (Make it happen!), the students elaborate a more sophisticated artifact in response to the demands of potential clients, as per the outcomes of the primary market research (5th session). Active teaching methods and tools, such as a modified template of the BMC with the Rumsfeld’s matrix, aid the metacognition of students and their competences development. In a double session of the PBL, the primary market research is organized with key stakeholders of the agroindustry to enquire about the feasibility of the implementation of the technological solution and the logistics at farm level. Finally, the evaluation relies on the suitability of the upgraded prototype to respond customers’ demands.
