This study aimed to determine how some variables including social support, marital harmony, gender, age, age at marriage, duration of marriage, partner's job status, number of children, marriage type, income level, and responsibility sharing for housework and child care can predict nurses' job satisfaction. The study was carried out with nurses, who worked at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine and had been married for at least one year depending on their willingness for participation. In conclusion, a total of 406 married nurses-280 (69%) females and 126 (31%) males-were included in the study sample. For data collection, we used the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale to determine participants' job satisfaction; the Marital Adjustment Test to determine the level of adjustment in marriage; the Family and Friends Support Scale to determine the perceived level of support from family and friends and, last but not the least, the Personal Information Form developed by the authors to obtain information on other predictive variables.
