Dynamical nucleus-nucleus potential and incompressibility of nuclear matter

Abstract: The dynamical nucleus-nucleus potentials for some fusion reactions are investigated by using the improved quantum molecular dynamics (ImQMD) model with different sets of parameters in which the corresponding incompressibility coefficient of nuclear matter is different. Two new sets of parameters SKP* and IQ3 for the ImQMD model are proposed with the incompressibility coefficient of 195 and 225 MeV, respectively. The measured fusion excitation function for 16 O+ 208 Pb and the charge distribution of fragments f… Show more

“…(4) The momentum dependence of the nucleon-nucleon interaction according to the Skyrme force is involved for the HICs at intermediate energies [30]. It is found that the ImQMD model is successfully applied on HICs at intermediate energies [30][31][32] and heavy-ion fusion reactions between stable nuclei [18,33,34]. It is well known that the symmetry energy plays an important role on the structure of neutron-rich nuclei.…”

“…2 and 3(b). The DC-and DD-TDHF have been applied to extract the collective potentials between two nuclei [22,68] which gave similar features as those obtained in the present work and in other QMD simulations [69,70]. With the collective potential and the momentum, we define the collective energy as…”

“…It is found that the phase space occupation constraint is an effective approach to improve the momentum distribution of nuclear system [15,16]. In this work, we adopt the parameter set IQ3 [25] (see Table 1) which was applied in the study of heavy-ion fusion reactions at incident energies around the Coulomb barriers.…”
