Dynamic traffic re-routing as a method of reducing the congestion level of road network elements

Abstract: The article presents the main points of the dynamic traffi c rerouting on the base of the Intelligent Transport System (ITS). Rerouting problem on the road network has been object many research and different tools have been proposed to increase the traffi c management systems effectiveness. In this paper we study some of the issues associated with the simulation of various dynamic route guidance algorithms, focusing on the estimation of their effective using set of traffi c parameters. It was founding the main… Show more

“…The current global trend aimed at striving for zero deaths on the roads, which is described in detail in the works [12][13][14][15][16][17], is reflected in legislative acts aimed at improving road safety, which also affects the accident rate, namely, reducing the death rate in accidents. In Russia, during the period under review, there is a systematic decrease in the indicator under consideration, which is explained by the implementation of a number of works aimed at improving road safety, which are being implemented today [18][19][20][21]. Another of the main indicators is the number of accidents in the city and beyond, these data also allow us to assess where the largest number of accidents occur, the analysis shows that in Russia, most accidents occur in settlements (fig.…”

“…The main types of crossroads are a junction, an intersection, an intersection with a circular motion and an intersection spaced into two junctions. The kind of priority is of great importance [15][16] However, Set of rules 34.13330.2012 regarding design of crossroads and junctions of highways takes into account only suburban highways. Thus, Set of rules 42.13330.2011 is responsible for the design of intersections and junctions in the city.…”
