Dynamic stability of mission-oriented hypersonic waveriders

Abstract: The longitudinal dynamic stability characteristics of a caret-wing/wedge (CWW) waverider, without engine integration, is explored. Hypersonic piston theory is used to derive analytical stability derivatives and coe cients. These stability coe cients are incorporated into the linearized equations of motion for longitudinal dynamics.
