Dynamic routing in translucent WDM optical networks

Abstract: Abstract-Translucent WDM optical networks use sparse placement of regenerators to overcome the impairments and wavelength contention introduced by fully transparent networks, and achieve a performance close to fully opaque networks with much less cost.
