Dynamic RNA Coding Color Image Cipher Based on Chain Feedback Structure

Abstract: This paper proposes a dynamic RNA-encoded color image encryption scheme based on a chain feedback structure. Firstly, the color pure image is decomposed into red, green, and blue components, and then a chaotic sequence based on plaintext association is introduced to encrypt the red component. Secondly, the intermediate ciphertext is obtained by diffusion after encryption by bit-level permutation, RNA dynamic encoding, RNA dynamic operation rules, and RNA dynamic decoding. Finally, to enhance the security of th… Show more

“…Consequently, the utilization of image encryption techniques can effectively prevent the leakage of critical data during transmission 10 12 . Several encryption methods have been proposed to address this challenge, including thumbnail-preserving encryption 13 – 15 , biometric encoding 16 18 , Frequency domain encryption 19 , 20 , bit-plane encryption 21 23 , Fourier transformation 24 26 , and chaos theory 27 29 , among others 30 , 31 . In particular, chaotic algorithms have gained widespread acceptance in image encryption due to their unpredictability, pseudo-randomness, and high sensitivity to initial values 32 – 35 .…”

“…The detailed solution of this problem certainly has considerable implications, both from a practical viewpoint and from the concept we have regarding the structure of the genetic information encoded in DNA. New horizons in encryption algorithms suggest the use of RNA dynamic for decoding and coding [12,13]. Although these implementations do not currently seem to be closely related to the object of this work, they may serve as a point of reference for future investigations.…”

“…Subsequently, the correlation is computed over the previously selected adjacent pixels. These pixels are considered in the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions [36]. With this information, Equation (3) is employed to calculate the correlation.…”
