Abstract:Angiogenesis is a highly regulated process orchestrated by the complex vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) system, which is comprised of multiple isoforms and cell surface receptors. In addition, heparin/heparan sulfate (HS) proteoglycans and neuropilins (NRP) have been described as co‐receptors. In the present study we have characterized molecular interactions between the two most commonly expressed VEGF isoforms and their receptors and co‐receptors, using surface plasmon resonance (SPR). Our data sugge… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
