In large-capacity energy storage systems, instructions are decomposed typically using an equalized power distribution strategy, where clusters/modules operate at the same power and durations. When dispatching shifts from stable single conditions to intricate coupled conditions, this distribution strategy inevitably results in increased inconsistency and hastened system aging. This paper presents a novel differentiated power distribution strategy comprising three control variables: the rotation status, the operating boundaries for both Depth of Discharge (DOD) and C-rates (C) within a control period. The proposed strategy integrates an aging cost prediction model developed to express the mapping relationship between these control variables and aging costs. Additionally, it incorporates the multi-colony particle swarm optimization (Mc-PSO) algorithm into the optimization model to minimize aging costs. The aging cost prediction model consists of three functions: predicting health features (HFs) based on the cumulative charge/discharge throughput quantity and operating boundaries, characterizing HFs as comprehensive scores, and calculating aging costs using both comprehensive scores and residual equipment value. Further, we elaborated on the engineering application process for the proposed control strategy. In the simulation scenarios, this strategy prolonged the service life by 14.62%, reduced the overall aging cost by 6.61%, and improved module consistency by 21.98%, compared with the traditional equalized distribution strategy. In summary, the proposed strategy proves effective in elongating service life, reducing overall aging costs, and increasing the benefit of energy storage systems in particular application scenarios.

The memory‐based control charts (CCs) such as exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) and Cumulative sum (CUSUM) are good for quick detection of small or moderate shifts in the process mean. This study proposes a memory‐based CC to monitor the mean of a normally distributed process. The idea is to estimate the mean shift using an estimator based on an EWMA statistic and after that determine the smoothing constant of plotting EWMA statistics through the proposed continuous function. The performance of the proposed adaptive EWMA (AEWMA) chart is focused on utilizing extensive Monte Carlo simulations method with various shifts in the process mean. Taking into account the run‐length (RL) profiles, as an evaluation tool, the proposed chart is efficient as compared to the competitor charts. The demonstration of the proposed chart is presented by using a real dataset from the manufacturing process of substrates where the quality characteristic is the resistance of flow width.

In this study, a new process dispersion monitoring control chart is proposed based on a function-based adaptation to select the smoothing constant value, named as a function-based adaptive exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) dispersion control chart. It is suggested to track shift ranges first expected in process dispersion by opting for smoothing constant computation with the help of a function. The shift magnitude assessment is made by an unbiased estimator that determines the smoothing constant value through the proposed function. The enhanced efficiency of the proposed chart can be assessed in terms of smaller run-length profiles, which are determined through Monte Carlo simulations. The proposed chart is compared with the existing adaptive EWMA dispersion chart, and it turned out to perform substantially efficiently in detecting all kinds of decreasing and increasing process dispersion shift magnitudes.Moreover, a real-life dataset application is explained in the example section to elaborate on the ease of implementation in the real-life scenario.
