Dynamic loading of the tank container on a flat wagon considering fittings displacement relating to the stops

Abstract: The mathematical modelling of the dynamic loading of the container-tank during maneuvering collision of the flat wagon has made it possible to obtain an accurate value of the accelerations acting on its supporting structure. At the same time, possible movements of the tank-container relative to the frame of the flat wagons due to the presence of a technological gap in the pair “fitting stop-fitting” are taken into account. It is established that this acceleration, which is a component of the dynamic load, exce… Show more

“…This section contains results of numerical analyses of the designed pedestal structure. Strength analyses have been carried out in the ANSYS software package, which is one of the most widely used software for numerical analysis of technical elements and systems based on the finite element method [8][9][10]. These analyses serve as a decisive criterion of the pedestal design.…”

“…In its operation, the coal-transporting flat carriage experiences various static and dynamic loads on its structure, due to the condition of the railroad that could be straight, turns left or right, go uphill and downhill; and at the time of stopping, when there is braking, experiencing compression to the structure due to the series of carriages from the front-rear. The impact of these operational loading conditions could affect the structure/ construction of the carriage [13][14][15][16] . The Indoneian regulation of the Minister for Transportation number PM 17 of 2011 states that every carriage operated must have the structural strength and durability in receiving operational loading 17) .…”
