The speckle interferometry is an effective technique in the displacement measuremenl of a structure wilh a rough surface. However, when the fringe scanning technique is introduced to speckle intcrferometry for improving the measurement resolulion. generally iwo speckle patterns before and after the deformation of the measurement object and another speckle pattern obtained under different eonditions tVom these two speckle patterns are required at least. So, three speckle patterns are generally required for precise fringe analysis as a minimum condition. In this paper, a method for introducing the fringe scanning method is proposed by controlling the phase of the specklegram as a fringe image using filtering techniques. Then, the temporal fringe analysis method that uses only two speckle patterns are proposed for speckle interferometry. As the result of experiments, it is shown that high precise fringe analysis can be realized hy the fringe scanning methods using only two speckle patterns tor the displacement measurement with a large deformation.

Los sistemas de shearografía son herramientas para el control e inspección de fallas e imperfecciones estructurales en diferentes tipos de aplicaciones industriales, automotrices y aeronáuticas. Se basan en la correlación digital de dos frentes de onda de patrones de speckle en dos estados de interés: con y sin carga. La técnica tiene la cualidad especial de ser autoreferenciada en sus frentes de onda y por tanto es muy robusta frente a perturbaciones ambientales. Se presenta un sistema shearografía en el cual se puede analizar el comportamiento dinámico de los esfuerzos que sufre un material en función de cambios en temperatura a lo largo de todo el proceso de carga térmica.

A method for extracting optimum images from a large amount of speckle images is proposed for ESPI measurement under environmental disturbance. During the measurement of static deformation under environmental disturbance, optimum images which can make interference fringes are extracted from the speckle images before the image subtraction. The extraction is performed based on the evaluation of the highest speckle contrast in time series value. The validity of the method is investigated by experiments under the environmental disturbance coming from the floor. Results indicate that the extraction method is effective and it is possible to measure static surface deformation by ESPI without a vibration isolator under environmental disturbance.
