Dynamic Analysis of Steel and Dural Drill Rods

Abstract: The paper is dedicated to applied problems of dynamic stability of deformable systems. Dynamics of boring columns for shallow drilling (up to 500 m) applied in oil-gas extractive industry is considered. The purpose is investigation of influence of the drill rod's material properties of amplitude-frequency characteristic and stability of movement. Deformation of the drill rod is assumed finite. A model of a compressed-torsioned drill rod is considered within the nonlinear theory of finite deformations of V.V. N… Show more

“…The author of the paper [1] considers the problems of investigation of the dynamic bending of elongated drill string tubes studied with allowance made for destabilizing effects of the longitudinal nonuniform preloading, action of torque, inertia forces of rotation and internal flows of washing liquid (mud). In the work [2] the stability of transverse vibrations of the nonlinear model of a compressed-torsioned drill-string is considered. For the analysis the Flock theory is used.…”

“…Therefore, many works are devoted to the study of dynamics of boring columns. Among them are the works [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9], where longitudinal, transverse and rotating vibrations of drilling columns under the effect of exterior forces and moments, inertial forces of torsion, inertial forces of flushing liquid, forces of friction of the drilling column against a slit and other internal and external actions, and also problems of their stability are considered. The author of the paper [1] considers the problems of investigation of the dynamic bending of elongated drill string tubes studied with allowance made for destabilizing effects of the longitudinal nonuniform preloading, action of torque, inertia forces of rotation and internal flows of washing liquid (mud).…”
