Dynamic analysis of short-fiber reinforced composite nanobeams based on nonlocal strain gradient theory
Ufuk Gul
Abstract:This study deals with the dynamic behavior of short-fiber reinforced composite nanobeams. It is assumed that short-fibers are aligned or randomly distributed in the composite nanobeams. Nonlocal strain gradient theory is applied to composite nanobeam mechanics including Euler–Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam models. The transverse vibration of these composite nanobeams is investigated for various boundary conditions. Approximate Ritz method is used for obtaining the natural frequencies of short-fiber reinforced c… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
