DUSP1 recuses diabetic nephropathy via repressing JNK‐Mff‐mitochondrial fission pathways

Abstract: Excessive mitochondrial fission has been identified as the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy (DN), although the upstream regulatory signal for mitochondrial fission activation in the setting of DN remains unknown. In the current study, we found that dual-specificity protein phosphatase-1 (DUSP1) was actually downregulated by chronic hyperglycemia stimulus.
