Dupin hypersurfaces with four principal curvatures in ℝ5 with principal coordinates
Carlos M. C. Riveros
Abstract:In this paper we study Dupin hypersurfaces in R 5 parametrized by lines of curvature, with four distinct principal curvatures and T ij kl = 0. We characterize locally a family of such hypersurfaces in terms of the principal curvatures and four vector valued functions of one variable. Moreover, we show that these vector valued functions are invariant under inversions and homotheties.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
