Previous reports have ddcumented this condition in adults (Manhas et alii, 1971;Parker et alii, 1976), and single diaphragms have been reported in adults (Smiley et alii, 1966;Ross and Isaac, 1964;Hudson, 1961) and in children (Kreig, 1937;Bill and Pope, 1954;Girvan and Stephens, 1974). This patient's history is typical of the condition, with recurrent symptoms of upper gastrointestinal obstruction and constipation manifesting late in life.…”
