Abstract:Thiamine functions as a cofactor for activity of various enzymes that act on the metabolism of carbohydrates and amino acids. This study aimed to analyze through bioinformatic techniques the genes responsible for the biosynthesis of thiamine encoded by the genome of Theobroma cacao L.
