“…The ORR process of photocatalytic H 2 O 2 on the new carbon nitride is meaningfully boosted due to the increased H + migration and O 2 adsorption by the double-engineered pyrimidine moiety and cyano. [229] The above results show that a large number of cyano groups serve as the aggregation center and oxygen adsorption center of photogenerated electrons, providing a path for the two-electron reaction to generate hydrogen peroxide; at the same time, a large number of photogenerated holes will also decompose these alcohols to form a large number of protons to participate in the formation of hydrogen peroxide process. Li et al constructed cyano-modified carbon nitride for the photoreduction of CO 2 (Figure 14c), and the generation rates of CO (13.7 μmol h −1 g −1 ) and CH 4 (0.6 μmol h −1 g −1 ) were 2.5 and 2 times superior to those of g-C 3 N 4 , respectively, which was mainly owing to the good electron-absorbing ability of cyano (often used as electron acceptor).…”

“…The formation of acetals between TFA and ethanol was confirmed by MALDI-TOF, 13 C liquid-state NMR, and FT-IR spectroscopy. The mass-to-charge ratio of 355.2 was consistent with the theoretical value of 1,4-bis(diethoxymethyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzene (Fig.…”
